Terms of Service

Last updated: February 8, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Work4WiFi mobile application, web dashboard, Work4WiFi Hub hardware device, and all related services (collectively, “Work4WiFi,” “Service,” “App”). Work4WiFi is operated by Work4WiFi LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By using Work4WiFi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using Work4WiFi, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a household, you represent that you have authority to bind all members of that household to these Terms.

2. Who the Service Is For

Work4WiFi is intended for parents or legal guardians managing internet access on their children’s devices. You must be at least 18 years old and have legal authority over the child(ren) and device(s) being managed.

Children may use the child-facing portions of the Service (including the child app and the child web portal) only under parental supervision and with parent/guardian permission. Children under 13 may not create accounts directly; all child profiles are created and managed by the parent.

3. What Work4WiFi Does

Work4WiFi allows parents to set chores and rewards, and to control internet access on children’s devices. The Service includes:

  • A parent web dashboard for managing children, chores, and WiFi access
  • A child Android app that controls internet access on the child’s device using Android system features including VPN-based traffic control
  • A child web portal for submitting chore photos from any device with a browser and camera
  • The Work4WiFi Hub (sold separately), a hardware device that connects to your home router to control WiFi access for any device on your network
  • AI-powered chore verification that analyzes submitted photos to determine if chores are completed
No absolute guarantee: We do not guarantee uninterrupted enforcement, absolute blocking in every scenario, or that all bypass attempts are impossible. The Android app controls internet on the installed device only. The Hub controls devices connected to your home WiFi only. Devices with cellular data may bypass Hub restrictions unless the Android app is also installed.

4. Permissions & Device Controls

To function, the Work4WiFi child app may request permissions such as VPN access, device administration privileges, foreground service permissions, camera access, location access, and notification access. By granting permissions, you acknowledge that:

  • Internet access may be restricted or blocked on the child’s device.
  • Removing or disabling permissions may reduce or disable functionality.
  • Some actions (such as disabling device admin or disconnecting the VPN) may trigger tamper alerts to the parent account.
  • Location data, when the GPS feature is enabled, is processed on-device and used only to determine if the child is at home or away.

5. Work4WiFi Hub

The Work4WiFi Hub is a physical hardware device sold separately. By purchasing and using the Hub, you acknowledge that:

  • The Hub controls internet access only for devices connected to its WiFi network.
  • The Hub requires a working internet connection and compatible router.
  • The Hub does not control cellular data. Devices with cellular data can bypass Hub restrictions by switching to mobile data.
  • Hardware warranty and return policies are detailed at the point of purchase.
  • A Work4WiFi subscription is required to use Hub features.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Work4WiFi offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree that:

  • Your payment method will be charged automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle.
  • Subscription prices may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
  • You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (currently Paddle). Your use of the payment system is also subject to their terms.

Current subscription plans range from Free ($0/month) to Unlimited ($14.95/month). Full pricing details are available in the parent dashboard and at work4wifi.com/get-started.

7. Refunds & Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until then.

Refunds are available within 14 days of your initial purchase. If the service has been used, we may issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period. Refund requests made after the 14-day window are generally not eligible. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

To request a refund, email support@work4wifi.com with your account email and the reason for your request.

8. AI Verification

If enabled by the parent, photos submitted for chore verification are analyzed by automated AI systems. AI verification is not perfect and may approve or reject submissions incorrectly. Parents can adjust the AI confidence threshold, set specific verification criteria, and manually review any submission. Final responsibility for approving or rejecting chore submissions remains with the parent.

Photos submitted for AI verification are processed according to the parent’s configured photo retention policy and may be deleted immediately after processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on how photos are handled, stored, and deleted.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, functionality, software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks associated with Work4WiFi are owned by Work4WiFi LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial household use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on the Service.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Work4WiFi for unlawful purposes or to manage devices you do not own or have legal authority over.
  • Use the Service to monitor, control, or restrict devices of anyone other than your own minor children.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App, Hub, or backend services.
  • Use the Service to assign chores that are dangerous, age-inappropriate, or abusive.
  • Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account.
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service.

11. Privacy & Children’s Data

We take the privacy of families and children seriously. Work4WiFi complies with applicable children’s privacy laws, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Key protections include:

  • Child profiles are created and managed solely by the parent/guardian.
  • We collect only the minimum information necessary (first name, optional age, PIN).
  • Children’s photos are processed for chore verification and deleted according to parent-configured retention settings.
  • We do not sell, share, or use children’s personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • Parents have full control over their children’s data and can delete it at any time from the dashboard.
  • Our local VPN does not monitor, log, or transmit browsing history or internet activity.

For complete details on data collection, use, and deletion, see our Privacy Policy.

12. No Guarantee of Results

Work4WiFi is a tool to assist with parenting and household management. We do not guarantee improved behavior, reduced conflict, child compliance, academic performance, or prevention of all internet access attempts. Outcomes vary by household, device, network configuration, and usage.

13. Service Availability

We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee continuous uptime, error-free operation, or compatibility with all devices, routers, or operating system versions. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime when possible.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORK4WIFI LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE ISSUES, ENFORCEMENT GAPS, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS THE INTERNET, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IF LIABILITY IS FOUND, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Work4WiFi LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Work4WiFi shall first be addressed through good-faith informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in the State of Tennessee.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Work4WiFi LLC.

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in the State of Tennessee if the claim qualifies.

17. Termination

You may stop using Work4WiFi and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if these Terms are violated, if continued use creates legal, security, or operational risk, or if your account is inactive for an extended period. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though we will retain data as described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
